Purpose Built For Excellence
Rivington View Nursing Home was entirely purpose built with one aim only - to provide the most excellent standards of nursing care in surroundings of absolute luxury, to those in need - the elderly and the infirm, for short or long term care.
- It is also designed to care for those convalescing after an illness, the disabled people and even the terminally ill patients needing nursing care.
- It is situated right in the heard of Horwich town centre within walking distance of all the shops; located next to a Medical Centre and withing easy access to other GP's Surgeries in Horwich.
- Rivington View has 33 beds of which 31 are single rooms, to allow utmost privacy to each resident in his or her own room. There is 1 twin bedded room for couples or people who prefer to share.
- All rooms at Rivington View have double glazed windows to conserve heat and reduce the noise level. Each room is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated with wall to wall carpeting, central heating with thermostat control in each room to allow the temperature to be individually controlled, vanity units and fitted with television and telephone points.
Comfort
There are two spacious, well-equipped and comfortable lounges one on each floor - one fitted with a colour television and another lounge for those who prefer a quiet room maybe to read, or chat with friends and relatives. All bedrooms, toilets and bathrooms are filled with 'Nurse Call' buttons to call immediate attention when necessary. There are five bathrooms, some assisted baths and one with the state of the art Arjobath system which can be raised and lowered hydraulically to receive a resident from an Ambuilift into the bath without manual effort, to provide total comfort for all residents including the disabled and convalescent.
Doctor
All residents are free to have a General Practitioner of their own choice. Our Care Manager will be happy to provide a list of all the General Practitioners in the Horwich area, to the residents on request. 24 hour medical cover is available to all the residents in need of a Doctor. There is a special Medical Room for anyone to consult a Doctor in strict privacy.
Care
As fully qualified nursing staff are on duty round the clock, there is no longer the need for residents to worry about remembering their medication. Out staff make sure that each one takes the prescribed medication at the correct time.
Food
Our fully qualified cooks pay particular attention to the nutritional needs of our residents and their special dietary requirements, offering a choice of menu. Food is prepared in our own specially equipped kitchen under the most hygienic conditions, using seasonal fresh market produce at all times.
